Requirements for Academic School Year 2009-2010

- Attending one (1) Social
- Attending one (1) Programming
- Attending one (1) Fundraising event
- Attending one (1) Group Service event 
- Attending two (2) Fraternal Core events: An additional Social, Group Service, Programming, or Fundraising event; An Initiation, Rush, Alumni, Inter-Chapter or Public Relations event.
- Attending all mandatory events
- Attending six (6) Chapter meetings without more than one consecutive unexcused absence
- Attending two (2) of their designated committee’s meetings

Absence Policy

A. Excused absences are permitted and consist of:

(i) Class scheduled during the Phi Sigma Pi event;
(ii) Death in the family;
(iii) Illness;
(iv) Commitments scheduled before the announcement of Phi Sigma Pi events;
(v) Circumstances beyond the member’s control.

B. Notification for excused absences must be given to the Secretary in written form, either via e-mail or in person, within twenty-four (24) hours of the missed meeting of event. An official document giving the reason for excuse (i.e. Doctor’s excuse, class schedule, etc.) must be presented to the chapter secretary if it is requested.

C. Mandatory events shall consist of the Initiate Pinning Ceremony, Induction, the Founder's Day Celebration, The Annual Spring Retreat, the Awards Banquets, and any event voted mandatory by a three-fourths (3/4) majority of the Active Members present at a designated meeting with quorum.

D. If an Active Brother fails to meet any of these requirements, the Brother shall be placed on Probation until the Member meets the requirements set forth in ARTICLE XII, Section 2A.
