FAQs

What will be expected of me as a member?
Members are expected to participate in meetings, service projects, social activities, recruitment, fundraising, and other fraternity programs.

How much time will it take?
Phi Sigma Pi is an active organization. We are heavily involved at Ohio State and the surrounding communities.  Our weekly meetings are on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., and we hold a variety of events throughout the quarter. Regular member participation is expected.

Is Phi Sigma Pi associated with the Greek community?
No. We are not associated with the Greek community. We are however a student organization with the ideals of brotherhood.

Won't joining Phi Sigma Pi be expensive?
We understand that everyone in college has lots of bills to pay and try to keep personal costs at a minimum. There is a one time induction fee plus $56 for dues each quarter. This money supports both the organization at a national and chapter level. It helps fund the events and activities we do each quarter.

Does Phi Sigma Pi haze?
No. Hazing is dangerous and illegal. Our organization takes a strong stance against hazing.

If I join can I be part of other organizations?
Of course! Phi Sigma Pi members are active and well-rounded students.

What is the talk of "Brothers"?
Phi Sigma Pi is a coeducational fraternity, which means it has both male and female members. Both male and female are referred to as Brothers.
